The Greater Wood River Valley area is international in
flavor. Much of the visitor traffic comes from the Western United States
(79.50%). The remainder of the visitors are from East of the Rocky
Mountains. This area is considered to be a secondary market, due to the
closer proximity of the Resorts of Colorado and Utah, both areas served
by the Major Air Carriers. Table 2. Details the origins of these
visitors by State. The primary market are the residents from the State
of Idaho. These visitors are not considered potential customers of the
contemplated Air Service, unless Service is initiated from Friedman
Memorial Airport in Hailey to Boise. |
