Just went over the TALOA web site, very enjoyable and very nice to read. Just to mention something further about the Transocean Tokyo operation in 1958/1959, the other three mechanics besides myself were Fred Parr, Ralph Busby and Fred Duval.

Larry Bovat who was the station manager in Tokyo, from what I understand (I could be wrong) died some years ago. His wife at one time was apparently the mayor of Clayton Ca. I happen to have run into Larry in 1973 at Miami airport, I believe at that time he was flying with World Airways.

One more thing of interest, I started with Transocean in Aug/Sep 1957 on Earhart Road, Oakland Airport, I retired thirty six years later, September 1993,  FAA Station Earhart Rd, Oakland Airport. Small world.

Good luck; Jerry Baranow
